It would be best to consult with your vet as to what treatment would be best for your dog in particular.

Will this product repel fleas and ticks or do they have to bite my pet first in order to die? Thank you

Advocate kills and repels fleas and ticks without them having to have bitten your dog.

Can this product be purchased without automatic delivery? Can automatic delivery be terminated upon request. Thanks.

Hi, since the formula might different from the cat's advocate and be effective on different symptoms; if it's ok that I try the dog's advocate on my cat? Thanks a lot

Yes the ingredients and dosages are exactly the same. It's just for targeted marketing in most products.
