    This is a Selamectin-based product, so is it effective against the “American Dog Tick” as per the U.S. licensing for Selamectin? Presumably these products do not list tick protection because those are not factored in with European or Australian licensing?

    Yes the products active ingredient is Selamectin. It does not target ticks. Selamectin only targets the following; Fleas--adults, eggs, and larvae Heartworms Intestinal worms—hookworm and roundworm Ear mites Biting lice
