I'm noticing in an answer to another's question that you state that Revolution/Stronghold does not protect against ticks and yet in the information under Stronghold it states: "protects against the American dog tick." Can you elaborate please?

There are many kind of ticks and Stronghold only protects one kind of tick which is native to N.America - American dog tick - Therefore we cannot say it treats ticks generally.

Can I measure this down with a syringe to treat my cats? I know they make it for cats in the appropriate weight but I have been using revolution this way for many many years since I run a small Independent rescue and I was told stronghold was the same as revolution so I try and save money when I can! Can you please tell me if this can be done with stronghold also? Thank you for your help with this matter! GOD BLESS!!!!!

Stronghold is exactly the same thing as Revolution so everything that can be done with Revolution can be done with Stronghold too. But as you mention we don't recommend that practice.

Will this product kill ticks including those that may transmit Lyme disease

No Stronghold and Revolution covers fleas, heartworms and intestinal worms. This product doesn't protect against ticks.

Can this be used on my cats as well. They love all over their Golden Retriver. Cashmere. I want to make sure this won't hurt them. Also financially I have been buying the large dog dose and putting some in the cats.

It's definitely safe for your cat to be around your who are dogs using 'Stronghold Teal'. We recommend using 'Stronghold for Cats' for protection of your cat.

So stronghold for dogs are the same as revolution for heart worms?
